This 1967 Hinckley Pilot 35 was designed by Sparkman & Stephens and built in Southwest Harbor, Maine. The boat features a fiberglass hull, a carbon fiber mast and boom, and is powered by a 1994 Westerbeke diesel engine of 32 horsepower. At 35 feet long with a beam of 9.42 feet, she offers the classic proportions and seaworthiness Hinckley is known for, with an offshore racing history that includes first overall in the 2005 Marion to Bermuda Race.
The yacht accommodates one cabin and one head. Below deck, recent improvements include a new holding tank, updated freshwater system, and refreshed sail inventory from North featuring a full-batten mainsail, staysail, and 135% genoa, along with new running rigging throughout.
Extensive work completed in 2021 addressed the hull and systems comprehensively. The hull was soda blasted, barrier coated, and repainted below the waterline. The rudder was dropped and adjusted to remove play in the bronze heel shoe. Electronics include dual B&G multifunction displays, radar, and below-deck autopilot with updated instrumentation. A new battery bank was installed in 2026 along with solar charging and updated battery management. Additional upgrades include a Spade anchor as ground tackle, painted bilges and lockers, and various mechanical updates throughout.
