1968 C & L Cantiere Craglietto
About This Yacht
This 1968 C & L Cantiere Craglietto is a 97-foot auxiliary ketch designed by naval architect Alan Buchanan and built in Italy as yard number 62. The yacht combines classical 1960s design with the comfort and systems of a modern cruising boat. She is carvel-built of mahogany and oak, with a beam of 18.5 feet, and is powered by two Doosan diesel engines producing 906 horsepower, giving her a cruising speed of 8 knots.
The accommodation comprises three cabins and three heads. The layout reflects the yacht's period elegance while providing the amenities expected of a contemporary long-range cruiser, making her equally suited to coastal exploration or extended ocean passages.
Between 2012 and 2019, the yacht underwent substantial structural work. She was completely stripped out and partly replanked, with beams and floors replaced with laminated versions. The hull was re-fastened and sheathed with epoxy, work that enabled her to achieve MCA coding. This extensive refit addressed the bones of the yacht and restored her to a seaworthy standard suitable for serious cruising.
