1970 C&C 35

This is a 1970 C&C 35, a fiberglass sloop built during the era of classic racing yachts. The boat measures 35 feet overall with a 10.6-foot beam and draws 5 feet 3 inches. She has been extensively modernized over the decades while retaining the character of the original design. A 25-horsepower Beta diesel powers her, newly installed in 2025 along with fresh exhaust and fuel systems.

The boat underwent comprehensive structural and mechanical work starting in 2004, when the deck and hull were refinished with Awlgrip, new standing rigging and spars were fitted, and all primary systems were replaced. The interior received a complete refresh including new cabin sole of teak and holly, working ports, and updated accommodations throughout. The galley features a three-burner range with oven, pressure water, and an icebox. Below deck are a forward V-berth with storage, a convertible dinette in the main cabin, a navigation station, a head with electric freshwater toilet, and an aft pilot berth.

The rig has been optimized for racing and cruising. A Ballenger mast and boom with stainless steel rigging were fitted in 2024, along with a new foil for the Furlex roller furler. Lewmar winches handle the running rigging led back to the cockpit. The sail package includes carbon fiber racing mainsail and genoa from Doyle, along with multiple cruising sails and a spinnaker. A Selden sprit enables asymmetrical spinnaker work downwind. Recent electronics include a Raymarine Axiom chartplotter at the helm, autopilot, and integrated wind and speed instruments.

Recent updates in 2025 include new Group 31 AGM batteries, a new electric bilge pump, and servicing of the folding propeller. The hull received race-quality bottom preparation with barrier coat in 2022 and fresh black bottom paint in 2025. She carries full cruising amenities including solar panels, battery charger, and VHF radio with remote microphone.
