A 1970 Tollycraft Tollyhome 36—one of only an estimated 16 built—this fiberglass houseboat represents a distinctive chapter in Northwest boat design. The Tollyhome line was marketed as a seaworthy floating home, and the design delivers on that promise with abundant windows throughout, thoughtful interior layout, and a focus on living space over performance.
The main deck centers on the helm station and a full-size berth forward, flooded with natural light. Large windows run the length of the cabin. Below the forward berth lies exceptional storage and access to bilge and tank spaces. Moving aft, the galley includes a full refrigerator-freezer, three-burner propane range with oven, and residential-size sink, with a dining area to port. A settee aft converts to an additional berth. The head is generous with a separate shower stall, newer Jabsco toilet, and large vanity. The cabin is equipped with air conditioning, dehumidifier, and numerous opening windows. Outside, a covered front deck provides year-round seating, and an expansive aft deck with gazebo creates entertaining space.
Recent work completed within the past few years includes a new Whale hot water heater, propane system safety upgrades, new thru-hull fittings, wiring improvements, fresh bottom paint, and new anodes. At that time, no blistering or structural issues were noted. The boat is powered by a single Crusader gasoline engine; the second engine has been decommissioned.
