This 1971 Hatteras 45 Convertible has been comprehensively restored. The boat is powered by twin 6V92 Detroit diesel engines producing 1,120 horsepower combined, rebuilt with 100 hours of operation since the work was completed. All engine systems have been renewed, including hoses, turbos, heat exchangers, water pumps, and stainless steel exhaust. A 7 kW Norpro generator with 10 hours of service is installed. The electrical systems throughout are new, with fresh 8D AGM batteries, wiring at both 12 and 110 volts, and updated gauges at upper and lower helms.
The boat accommodates two cabins and two heads. The interior features new teak cabinetry, flooring, and furnishings finished with multiple coats of varnish, including a custom settee and teak coffee table. The galley has been updated with a Sub-Zero drawer unit and Corian countertops. A full shower with new hot water heater and fresh water plumbing serve both cabins. All thru-hull valves have been replaced, and sanitation systems are new, including Dometic master flush heads in the master and an electric system in the guest head.
Navigation and control systems are new throughout: dual helms with updated Sea Star steering systems, new Kevlar hoses, Glendining cables, and fresh VHF radio and compass. Climate control consists of two 16,000 BTU Cruisair air conditioning units with digital controls. The fiberglass hull, displacing 43,000 pounds, carries two 225-gallon fiberglass fuel tanks. External updates include new Awl-Grip cloud white paint, powder-coated tower and window frames, tinted glass, stainless hardware, and a Bimini shade. Four new bilge pumps and four Hatteras rod holders are fitted.
