1971 Whiticar 62 Convertible

This 62-foot Whiticar convertible was built in 1971 as Hull #42 by Whiticar Boat Works in Stuart, Florida, from solid mahogany. Twin Detroit Diesel engines produce 960 horsepower and deliver a cruising speed of 16 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots. The yacht was designed as a custom sport fishing boat and features the quality craftsmanship Whiticar was known for.

The interior accommodates four cabins and three heads. The layout supports extended cruising and entertaining with sleeping quarters distributed throughout the yacht's 62-foot length and 16-foot beam.

Between 2018 and 2020, the boat underwent a comprehensive refit that stripped the structure to its core. The owners replaced major systems and updated the yacht with modern amenities including new air conditioning units while preserving the mahogany construction and classic character of the original build. The work was undertaken with attention to maintaining the vessel's integrity and extending its serviceable life.
