1972 Cheoy Lee Offshore 47 Yawl

A 1972 Cheoy Lee Offshore 47 Yawl designed by Bill Luders, this fiberglass yawl was built to race and has proven itself in competition, including a first-place class finish in the Figawi Race. The full keel and heavy displacement hull are well-suited to the choppy waters of Nantucket Sound, while electric primary winches and a Raymarine autopilot enable efficient handling with a small crew or single-handed operation.

The boat accommodates three cabins and two heads, with air conditioning for comfortable summer cruising. A 55 hp Westerbeke diesel engine provides auxiliary power. At 47 feet in length with a 12.5-foot beam, the design combines traditional yacht proportions with the durability and low-maintenance benefits of fiberglass construction.

The yacht underwent a complete refit by Crosby Yacht Yard in 1998, bringing the boat to fully restored condition. The combination of proven racing pedigree and comfortable cruising accommodations makes this a capable vessel for both competitive sailing and extended time at sea.
