1972 Riva Aquarama Lungo
About This Yacht
This 1972 Riva Aquarama Lungo represents the final evolution of Riva's iconic express cruiser line. Only seven Lungo models were built that year, each stretching 28 feet—roughly 22 centimeters longer than the preceding Super Aquarama models. The boat retains the twin side-mounted air intakes characteristic of the final 1971 Aquaramas, paired with newly introduced rubber-capped engine start buttons on the instrument panel.
Twin Riva gasoline engines deliver a combined 633 horsepower, powering this mahogany-hulled speedboat. The Lungo's 8.5-foot beam provides a balanced profile suited to its open express cruiser layout, designed for performance and classic Italian styling in equal measure.
The wooden hull and detailed engineering of this model exemplify Riva's craftsmanship during the twilight of their hand-built era. As a 1972 production, this Lungo stands among the rarest variants in the Aquarama family.
