This 1972 Tartan 34 Classic is a fiberglass sloop that has undergone considerable modernization. The diesel engine replaces the original gas-powered Atomic 4, and the boat carries a number of upgrades including reverse-cycle air-conditioning and heating, new outer shrouds, LED spreader lights, a Garmin chartplotter, and an Autohelm autopilot with wheel-mounted control. The rigging features roller furling, a boom vang, and new outboard stays.
The interior accommodates one cabin with a V-berth forward and a quarter berth. Headroom is 6 feet. The head includes a vanity, sink, hot and cold water, and a manual toilet. The galley is equipped with a sink, two-burner stove with oven, and pressure water system. All electrical systems run on 12-volt DC with a battery parallel switch, and the boat includes a searchlight and automatic bilge pump alongside a manual bilge pump backup.
Navigation equipment comprises a depth sounder and the Garmin chartplotter. On deck are a Delta anchor with 20 feet of chain and 200 feet of rode, three fenders, one life ring, six dock lines, six life jackets, and a swim ladder. Helm steering is wheel-operated. The boat cruises at 5 knots with a maximum speed of 6 knots.
