1983 Aloha 34

The Aloha 34 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Edward S. Brewer and built by Ouyang Boatworks. Known among cruising sailors for solid construction and offshore capability, this 1983 model combines comfortable liveaboard accommodations with practical bluewater performance in a manageable 34-foot package. The hull features a long waterline, fin keel, and skeg-hung rudder designed for confident ocean passage-making.

Power comes from a 2018 Yanmar 3YM30AE diesel engine producing 30 horsepower, fitted with shaft drive and a three-blade propeller. The engine has minimal hours and represents a significant recent upgrade. Additional systems include a 125-amp alternator, battery charger, inverter, and four batteries installed in 2021, plus solar charging capability and a hot water tank. A Monitor Windvane self-steering system is included.

Below deck, the warm teak interior offers approximately 6 feet 7 inches of standing headroom with a forward cabin, oversized quarter berth, functional galley, and salon with folding table. The head includes a shower with hot and cold pressure water. Ten opening ports and three opening hatches provide abundant ventilation, and storage is extensive throughout.

Equipment on board includes a Lofrans windlass, 35-pound CQR anchor with chain rode plus additional anchors, dodger and bimini, gimballed stove and oven, deep refrigerator and freezer, Raymarine Autohelm, chartplotter, Standard Horizon VHF radio, Kenwood HF transceiver, and a portable Honda generator. A dinghy with Mercury outboard is included, along with fishing and snorkeling gear.
