1972 Tartan 41

This 1972 Tartan 41 is a fiberglass sailing yacht designed by Sparkman & Stephens, measuring 41 feet in length with a 12.25-foot beam. The boat is powered by a Yanmar 34 HP diesel engine installed in 1986, paired with a custom-made Luthers steel fuel tank fitted in 2014. The single head serves the accommodation spaces.

The yacht accommodates cruising sailors and overnight voyaging. A dodger was installed new in 2019. A custom winter frame with canvas is included, though the canvas will require replacement.

Maintenance records show consistent engine care with regular oil and filter changes conducted three times yearly and annual fuel filter replacement. The fuel tank replacement in 2014 addressed long-term reliability. The vessel is currently stored ashore under shrink wrap. Sails are stored separately at the sailmaker, and removable interior gear including cushions and electronics are stored off-site.
