This 1973 Bertram 28 Flybridge Cruiser is a fiberglass deep-V offshore cruiser built to Ray Hunt's proven design. The boat measures 28 feet with an 11-foot beam and is powered by twin MerCruiser 350 cubic-inch engines producing 300 horsepower each, paired with new ZF 68A transmissions. These engines and transmissions have been run for less than 50 hours. Maximum speed reaches 35 knots, with a cruising speed of 25 knots.
A comprehensive refit was completed in 2020. New systems include a 165-gallon fiberglass fuel tank, 15-gallon fresh water tank, and updated electronics featuring a Garmin 1243 XSV chartplotter with radar. The boat is fitted with closed-loop engine cooling, a battery charger, dripless shaft seals, new gauges, and a new Lewmar V700 windlass. The flybridge has been enclosed with Eisenglass and features a radar arch and aluminum outriggers. A new fiberglass swim platform with integrated ladder provides water access.
The single cabin accommodates four berths and includes one head. Below deck systems have been updated with an HDPE fresh water tank and new instrumentation throughout. The boat is equipped with a spare set of props and spare shafts. The fiberglass hull and structural components are in clean condition throughout.
