This 1990 Bertram 28 Flybridge is a fiberglass cruiser powered by dual Crusader 5.7 engines delivering 660 horsepower combined, with a cruising speed of 23 knots and a maximum speed of 29 knots. The flybridge layout features a center helm seat with a passenger seat to port and bench seating to starboard—a configuration offered only during the final years of production. The boat accommodates one cabin and one head with a galley and salon below.
The original owner has maintained and systematically upgraded the boat over several years. In 2016, the fuel system was replaced with a 242-gallon aluminum-coated tank fitted to the original location, oversized Bertram rudders were installed for improved single-engine handling, and the engine compartment received new bulkhead glass work. The propellers were re-pitched to Crusader specifications, and a new marine head with freshwater feed was installed along with digital gauges and a battery charger system. Two new water tanks were added in 2018, and the flybridge received a new four-sided enclosure in 2019.
Navigation and electronics were upgraded in 2020 with a Garmin 1242 XSV touchscreen GPS plotter featuring depth finder and HD radar. Recent mechanical work includes new mufflers fabricated to original Bertram design in 2021, a new flybridge Seadeck in 2023, and a complete drivetrain refresh in 2024 comprising new stainless steel shafts, couplers, cutlass bearings, rudder bearings, and dripless shaft seals.
