This 1973 Ericson 35 is a classic sloop with solid sail-handling characteristics across a range of conditions. The fiberglass hull carries a competitive PHRF rating of 150–165 and features a fin keel and spade rudder paired with a 2-spreader masthead sloop rig. A 30-horsepower Universal Atomic 4 gasoline engine with approximately 700 hours provides auxiliary power, with new exhaust, starter, hoses, belt, water pump seals, and impeller. New shrouds and backstay complete the standing rigging.
The boat sleeps six across two cabins with good headroom at 6'2". The main saloon holds dual settees and a centerline table; the port settee converts to a double berth while the starboard serves as a single. A quarter berth and V-berth in the forward cabin provide additional sleeping space. A separate head with manual toilet and sink connects to a 10-gallon holding tank. Pressurized hot and cold water comes from a 25-gallon tank and 6-gallon hot water heater heated by 120V and engine waste heat circulation.
The sails include a 2020 North mainsail with two reef points and sail cover, a 2022 North 150% genoa of radial design, a 2020 North 100% jib lightly used, and a spinnaker with some damage. Deck equipment spans Barlow #26 primary winches, additional Barlow #16 cabin top and mast-mounted winches, boom-end mainsheet with traveler, and jib roller furling. The boat has new 2024 AGM type 27 batteries with a smart charger, a 12V refrigerator with separate freezer, LED cabin and navigation lighting, VHF radio with new AIS receiver, and a new 2025 bilge blower fan.
Safety and comfort gear includes six lifejackets, six fire extinguishers (two new), CO and gasoline detectors, lifesling, two anchors with 200 feet of rode, automatic and manual bilge pumps, new thru hull valves, a new spray dodger with center opening, cockpit awning, and a teak cockpit table. The galley features a 3-burner gimbaled alcohol stove with oven, microwave, and toaster. The boat has been maintained in freshwater only throughout its history.
