1974 Chris-Craft 47 Commander

The 1974 Chris-Craft 47 Commander is a fiberglass motor yacht with classic lines and a displacement hull designed for stable, comfortable cruising. Powered by twin Cummins VT8 diesel engines, she cruises at 10 knots and features a new bow thruster for improved maneuverability. The boat has been restored and upgraded over recent years, with new paint applied from the rub rail to the flybridge, refinished brightwork, and teak interior throughout.

Below deck, the layout includes two cabins: a large master stateroom aft and a forward V-berth cabin with split bunks. Each cabin has its own head and shower. The main salon is spacious and features a fully equipped galley with three new stainless refrigerator-freezers and a new stainless ice maker.

Mechanical systems have received substantial attention. The engines carry moderate hours—the port engine at 2,828 and starboard at 3,259. New shift and throttle cables, fuel lines, and Racor systems have been installed. Four new Dometic air conditioning units, a new Westerbeke 10KW generator, and a Vetus bow thruster motor provide auxiliary power and climate control. A new bottom job and new canvas and splash curtains complete the exterior updates.

Electronics are comprehensive and modern. Raymarine AXIOM displays cover both helm stations, with additional instruments including an autopilot with remote, windlass controls, depth finder redundancy, VHF with AIS, and radar. Navigation and engine monitoring systems round out the package.
