The Hallberg-Rassy Rasmus 35 is a classic offshore cruiser designed by Olle Enderlein and built during the model's production run from 1967 to 1978. Nearly 760 of these boats were constructed, establishing the design's reputation for full-keel stability, sea-kindly motion, and solid Scandinavian construction. As one of the first sailing yachts to feature a center cockpit, the Rasmus 35 combined the range and tankage of a motor-sailer with the balance and aesthetics of a true cruising yacht.
The hull is hand-laid fiberglass with thoughtful joinery throughout, built for serious passage-making. The boat carries a single 75-horsepower Volvo Penta diesel engine, reliable power for extended cruising. The design prioritizes both capability and comfort, with a layout refined for long-term voyaging yet retaining traditional lines and finishes.
This 1974 example, known as "Dragon Lady," represents the model at its mature point in production, with strong bones and well-executed construction typical of the builder's exacting standards.
