This 1974 Islander 34 is a masthead sloop with a proven offshore pedigree. Built from uncored fiberglass with a full keel and 3,300 lbs of encapsulated lead ballast, she spans 33.6 feet on deck with a 10-foot beam and 4.5-foot draft. A Beta Marine 25hp diesel with roughly 2,250 hours powers her, backed by a well-maintained engine log spanning the entire service life. The boat has crossed the Pacific twice, circumnavigated Australia, and completed an ambitious antipodal expedition—earning extensive documentation across social media.

Systems throughout have been renewed for serious cruising. New standing rigging (2024) features Hamma ProStrand wire with StaLok fittings. A full Victron electrical architecture (2024) includes a 300Ah LiFePO4 battery bank, MPPT controller, and monitoring system, paired with 720W of solar generation. Navigation and communications span a Raymarine i70s multifunction display, Starlink Rev2 (12V conversion, 2022), ham radio with Winlink capability, and VHF with AIS. A Spectra Ventura 150 watermaker with a refreshed membrane (2024) makes fresh water offshore. Sails are brand new—Kraken fully-battened mainsail and 130 genoa in Challenge Fastnet cloth, plus storm jib, spinnakers, and a drifter.

The accommodation and operational equipment reflect a serious cruising configuration. An electric windlass with wireless remote, overland chainplates, and modern winches support sail handling. Navigation tools include radar reflector, depth/speed/temp sensor, and masthead weather station. Galley systems comprise two 12V refrigerators, a gimballed Force10 stove with oven, and a watermaker. Safety gear includes EPIRB, inflatable and non-inflatable PFDs, flares, and jacklines. The engine room, hull, standing rigging, and seacocks all received substantial attention—all seacocks were replaced in 2018, steering was recently overhauled with dyneema cables (2025), and the bowstem fitting was reinforced (2025). A 60-amp portable lithium bank, diesel heater (new 2025), and comprehensive spares complete the setup.
