1974 Jongert 53

This 1974 Jongert 53 is a steel-hulled sailing yacht built by the respected Dutch yard known for solid, elegantly proportioned cruising boats. At just over 51 feet with a beam of 13 feet, she combines good seaworthiness with practical living space. Power comes from a single 130 hp MTU diesel engine.

The layout centers on a spacious and comfortable aft saloon, with a well-protected central cockpit suited to all weather. The deck serves as generous living area in fair conditions and at anchor. Three cabins provide accommodation throughout the yacht.

Between 2017 and 2019, significant work was undertaken: the teak deck was replaced, electronics were upgraded and modernized, and all varnish and paint were refreshed. Engine-room works are currently in progress, including engine removal, generator service, and new plumbing systems. The yacht has received careful maintenance, supported by extensive service records.
