This 1975 Morgan 51 Out Island is a fiberglass sailing yacht built for serious offshore cruising and extended passages. The design—by Charles Morgan—centers on heavy displacement, a full keel with centerboard, and a spacious interior suited to long-term liveaboard life. At 51 feet long with a 15-foot-9-inch beam and five-foot-two-inch draft, the boat carries the volume and stability characteristic of the Out Island line, with a wide deck and generous cockpit.

Below deck, three private cabins and two heads serve a comfortable layout with notable headroom throughout. The galley includes a convection countertop oven, microwave, and coffee maker. Storage is distributed across multiple areas to support extended cruising needs.

Power comes from a Perkins 85 horsepower four-cylinder diesel with 7,564 hours. The engine was overhauled at 7,050 hours; subsequent work has included fuel pump replacement (2005), hydraulic line service (2006), muffler (2009), heat exchanger (2011), and starter and alternator rebuilds (2011 and 2020). An 8-kilowatt Yanmar genset installed in 2013 carries 190 hours. The propeller and rudder shoe were renewed in 2009, bearings and shaft coupling in 2011, and the electrical panel rewired that same year. A battery charger was added in 2021, and the water heater dates to 2014.

The sailing rig comprises a mainsail, roller furling jib, and mizzen of average condition. Canvas includes a bimini, dodger, and spray hood. A manual davit system is fitted, along with a swim platform. Auxiliary power is provided by a Kisae 3,000-watt inverter. The centerboard requires servicing.
