The 1976 Tollycraft 48 is a classic Pacific Northwest motor yacht built on a proven semi-displacement hull. Twin Caterpillar 3208TA diesel engines, each producing 375 horsepower, power the boat efficiently at displacement speeds while offering cruising capability in the mid-teens when desired. The engines carry relatively low hours at 1600 and 1200 respectively.

The boat features full walk-around side decks with high bulwarks and railings, pilothouse doors on both port and starboard for easy helm access during docking, and a large aft cockpit suited for fishing. A transom door provides direct dock access, and the boat is equipped with a transom-mounted dinghy. The flying bridge offers an enclosed helm station with commanding 360-degree visibility.
