This 53-foot Alaskan Raised Pilothouse is a wooden-hulled trawler built in 1977. Twin Ford Lehman Diesel engines, each producing 120 horsepower, drive the boat to a cruising speed of 9 knots with a maximum speed of 12 knots. The displacement hull design provides stability suited to extended cruising, with a range of approximately 1,200 miles on the current fuel capacity.
The interior layout includes three cabins and two heads. An electric windlass is installed for anchoring operations. Air conditioning and Starlink have been added to the boat's systems.
Recent work completed at Svendsen's Bay Marine included replacement of through-hulls, shafts, and propellers; exterior paint; new wood planking; engine servicing; varnish work; lifelines; and bilge pumps. Interior flooring was refinished as part of the refit.
