The C&C 29 is a 1977 racer-cruiser built on a solid fiberglass hull with a reputation for sophisticated construction and proven performance. She measures nearly 30 feet with a 10-foot beam, combining beam and stability with responsive handling. Her fin keel and high-aspect spade rudder support both racing and cruising. A 30 hp Atomic 4 inboard engine with bronze Martec prop provides auxiliary power.
Below decks, the boat offers generous accommodation with sleeping berths for six. The forward cabin features a 6-foot 4-inch berth with storage shelves and compartments beneath. The main salon has matching 6-foot 4-inch settee berths on both sides, each backed with upholstered rests. Water and equipment storage tucks under these berths. A quarter berth doubles as navigation seating. The galley on the starboard side includes a stainless steel sink with foot pump, a well-insulated ice box, and teak-trimmed formica counters. A chart table lifts for access to storage below. The head sits to port with vanity and sink to starboard, separated privately from both cabins.
The rig is a masthead configuration with heavy-duty winches throughout: two Barient #25 primary winches, two Barient #22 secondary units, two Enke #22 cabin-top winches, and a mast winch. A Harken traveler, boom vang, adjustable backstay, and inboard genoa tracks support sail trim. The boat carries multiple sails including two Dacron mainsails with reefs, a 2017 3DL mainsail, three genoas, a working jib, storm jib, three spinnakers, and a North gennaker. A Furlex roller furling unit is included but not currently installed, with interchangeable head foil and split drum for racing sails.
Navigation and safety equipment include GPS/chart plotter, binnacle compass, VHF radio, Ray Marine autopilot, knot meter and depth sounder, and inclinometer. A 12-volt dual-battery electrical system with two 200-amp lithium batteries supports full lighting throughout cabin and mast, as well as other systems. The boat features a 40-gallon pressure water system, marine head with holding tank, manual and electric bilge pumps, Fortress anchor with chain and rode, and comes with a custom-built trailer. She has cruised and raced only on fresh water—Lake Superior and the St. Croix River.
