This 1980 Bayfield 29 is a Canadian-built sloop with traditional design elements including a sweeping sheer, clipper bow, and teak platform. The cockpit features a teak spindled rail, bow and stern pulpits, and slotted aluminum toe rail. The hull is fiberglass and the boat is powered by a 12-horsepower Yammer diesel engine that starts reliably and runs well.
The deck is outfitted with three sails and docking lines and fenders in good condition. Below, the cabin includes a functional toilet, holding tank, and clean water tank. A pressure pump supports the water system, and a hot water tank provides heated water throughout.
Recent upgrades completed in 2023 include new batteries, shore power wiring with panel and receptacles, dock water connection with complete plumbing lines, and new water faucets. A new hot water tank was also installed. Earlier improvements include new interior fabric cushions and vinyl cockpit cushions from 2021, a new mainsail cover and sunbrella cockpit cover from 2022, a new stereo with CD player from 2021, and a new VHF marine radio from 2021. The boat comes with a solid steel storage cradle.
