A 1977 Grand Banks 42 built with solid fiberglass construction and the classic design the brand is known for. Twin Caterpillar diesel engines produce 420 horsepower and cruise efficiently at 9 knots, with a maximum speed of 14 knots. The 42-foot hull with 14.5-foot beam is built for long-range capability and seaworthiness in varied conditions.
The interior features teak woodwork throughout, with a generous salon, functional galley, and two staterooms. Two heads serve the accommodations. The layout balances living space with practical functionality for both entertaining and extended cruising.
Recent work has modernized core systems. Fuel tanks were replaced with new aluminum units in 2019–2020, and the fuel manifold, heat exchangers, and headliner were also attended to during that period. Engine mixing elbows were replaced in 2022. The Onan 7.5 kW generator received a rebuilt water pump, and recent upgrades include an Aims 2500-watt inverter-charger, smart HD television, coffee maker, microwave, and Uniden VHF radio. Power is managed through dual 8D house batteries, dual 8D start batteries for the engines, a 4D start battery for the generator, dual 40-amp alternators, and a Blue-Sea battery monitor with ProMariner charger.
Standard trawler ground tackle includes a 60-pound Bruce anchor with 200 feet of 5/16-inch chain and a Lofrans Tigress windlass. Onboard equipment also comprises a swim platform, SUP, dinghy and outboard covers, life ring, PFD, gas sniffer, and eight fire extinguishers.
