1977 Hatteras 46 Convertible

The 1977 Hatteras 46 Convertible is a classic midsize sportfisher built on a solid fiberglass hull with full-length keel. Twin Detroit Diesel 8V92TI engines of 600 hp each were fitted in 2003 and have logged 3,300 hours. The boat reaches 27 knots at top speed and cruises at 17 knots. A 125-square-foot cockpit includes a tackle center with sink, livewell, and transom door—standard equipment for serious fishing.

The accommodation plan features two staterooms and two heads. The galley-down layout places the master amidships with twin berths and private head access. The forward guest stateroom offers over-under berths with its own head entry. The main salon is carpeted with ivory vinyl headliner, blue upholstered sofa, two swivel chairs, wood cabinetry, and flat-screen television. The galley contains a teak and holly floor, stainless sink and appliances, including microwave, refrigerator, and electric stovetop.

The exterior balsa-cored decks were replaced with composite coring and repainted during a comprehensive 2003 refit. Below decks, the teak interior was restored throughout. Navigation electronics include twin binnacle controls, VHF radio, FURUNO GPS and radar units, and FURUNO chart plotter, though note that some GPS screens show blank displays.
