1977 Hatteras 52 Convertible

This 1977 Hatteras 52 Convertible is a 56-foot fiberglass sportfish powered by twin Detroit Diesel engines delivering 924 horsepower. She cruises at 20 knots and reaches 24 knots at full throttle, equipped with trim tabs for stability. The boat accommodates two cabins and two heads for comfortable extended cruising and fishing operations.

The yacht has undergone substantial modernization over the past 15 years. A major refit spanning 2009 through 2011 included new teak and holly sole flooring, replacement windows, end-for-end engine rebuilds, and a hull extension with removable 300-gallon fuel bladder to extend range. The engine and cooling system received a comprehensive overhaul in 2024. Twin Northern Lights generators (6kw and 9kw) were installed in 2009, along with a Spectra watermaker for water production.

The boat is outfitted with current marine electronics including a full Furuno and Airmar suite integrated in 2009 and 2015. A SeaKeeper gyro stabilizer was added in 2016 to reduce rolling in various sea conditions. A bow thruster was installed in 2010 with the motor replaced in 2018. Additional refinements include new propellers fitted in 2016, a fresh bottom job in 2016, custom Lexan panels over the engine room with truss support beams, and wrap-around underwater lighting.
