1978 CSY Walkover 44

The CSY Walkover 44 is a rugged fiberglass sailing yacht built for blue-water cruising. Designed with a cutter rig, modified fin keel, and skeg-hung rudder, she carries substantial internal ballast—8,900 pounds of lead and 3,000 pounds of concrete—for stability in offshore conditions. The boat was constructed by CSY in Tampa, Florida, and features heavy-duty fiberglass layup with spacious interior volume and cabin headroom of 6 feet 8 inches.

Below decks, the boat is configured for extended self-sufficiency. Power generation relies on a 600-watt solar array paired with a Perkins diesel engine. Navigation and communication systems include a recently installed Starlink marine satellite setup for worldwide connectivity.

Recent maintenance work in late 2023 included new deck paint and antifouling treatment. The Perkins diesel engine has been recently serviced. The boat is fitted with the systems and structural updates needed for extended cruising passages.
