1978 Islander Sloop

This 36-foot Islander Sloop represents a classic Alan P. Gurney design, built by Islander Yachts USA and Tradewind Yachts. The fiberglass hull features clean proportions, a sturdy rig, and a fin keel with six-foot draft. A 50 hp Perkins 4-108 diesel engine powers the boat to a cruising speed of 6 knots and a maximum of 7 knots.

The accommodation includes two cabins and one head. Onboard power comes from four 6-volt Lifeline AGM batteries wired to an NMEA 2000 backbone. Navigation electronics comprise a B&G Zeus GPS chartplotter with integrated speed, depth sounder, and wind instruments.

The hull was stripped and barrier coated with epoxy in 2017. The heat exchanger and water pump have been recently replaced.
