This 1978 Morgan 382 is a classic cruising sailboat designed by Ted Brewer, built to explore rather than race. The hull balances beauty with substance: a teardrop shape with generous beam, reverse transom, and long overhangs give it distinctive proportions, while the nearly 17,000-pound displacement and elongated fin keel promise solid sea-keeping and good performance. Low cabin trunk and 6-inch bulwarks keep the profile trim and elegant.

The interior maximizes space across its 38-foot length. The saloon features an L-shaped settee to port and a wider settee with pilot berth to starboard, paired with a drop-leaf table. The nav station sits at the head of the starboard quarter berth. An efficient galley lies opposite on the port side. The head is notably roomy with a fully enclosed shower, though the V-berth forward is compact due to the boat's fine entry lines. The all-wood interior throughout offers substantial storage and volume.

A 50-horsepower Perkins diesel provides auxiliary power and has been rebuilt to 1,300 hours. The boat carries a Ray Marine EV-200 autopilot installed within the last five years, paired with hydraulic control and compass navigation. Recent maintenance includes a new raw water pump, new Rule bilge pump installed in 2023, rudder post repacked in 2023, and prop shaft stuffing box repacked in 2022. The fuel system was fully flushed and tank cleaned in 2022.

Standing rigging was replaced and upsized in 2010 and remains in excellent condition. Ground tackle was upsized in 2020 with a Delta 44 anchor. The hull received a full bottom job in 2020 with Trinidad paint, and topside paint was completed in 2022 with epoxy primer. Six new portholes were installed in 2021; the galley port needs replacement. The mainsail is in crisp condition; the 160 genoa shows age.
