A 1978 steel-hulled schooner with a complete rebuild executed between 2012 and 2014. The yacht measures 22 metres in length with a beam of 5.6 metres and features two aluminium masts arranged in a traditional schooner configuration. Power comes from a single 231 hp FPT diesel engine paired with a bowthruster and sternthruster for enhanced manoeuvrability. The design prioritises reliability and serviceability in remote waters, with readily available components and systems chosen for ease of maintenance.
The accommodation comprises four cabins and four heads. The aft owner cabin extends the full beam and offers generous space. Interior joinery was completely rebuilt in wood during the refit. The flush deck layout includes a sail locker and aft storage compartment, with watertight bulkheads forward and aft dividing the hull into secure zones.
Systems throughout reflect the emphasis on self-sufficiency. Electrical generation is handled by dual generators of 8 kW and 6.5 kW, with an inverter for DC power. A 160-litre-per-hour watermaker, 6.5 kW generator, air conditioning and heating system, satellite television, and a full galley with refrigeration, dishwasher and washing machine support extended cruising. Navigation and safety equipment includes Raymarine electronics, radar, AIS, autopilot with a spare unit, and a hydraulic steering system with redundancy. Teak covers the deck; LED lighting is throughout. Electric winches and jib furlers simplify sail handling.
