The Bertram 46.6 is a fiberglass flybridge sportfisher built to serious offshore standards. Twin Detroit 8V92TI diesel engines, each producing 625 horsepower, drive this heavy-displacement hull—she displaces 41,000 pounds and spans 15 feet across the beam, creating the stability and sea-kindliness the model is known for. Fiberglass fuel tanks hold approximately 810 gallons, giving genuine range for extended cruising.
The layout combines working fishing space with comfortable accommodation. The salon and galley are roomy, and multiple staterooms provide sleeping berths for family and guests. A 9-kilowatt generator and 3,000-watt inverter supply 110-volt power when away from the dock. Flybridge enclosure features new eisenglass, and the cockpit includes a freezer, outriggers, and dual searchlights.
Recent work completed in 2024 includes a new freshwater tank, fresh bottom paint, all new through-hulls and seacocks, and a full overhaul of rudders, shafts, and steering. The fuel tanks were polished in 2021. Additional updates include a recent electrical rewire with an upgraded panel, new battery chargers, upgraded helm gauges with Floscan fuel meters, electronic Morse engine controls at both the bridge and cockpit, new carpet and flooring, and new refrigeration units.
