This 1979 C&C 36 is a fiberglass sloop built for serious cruising, 36 feet long with an 11-foot beam. She's powered by a 27-horsepower Yanmar diesel engine and carries one head.
The boat has undergone extensive modernization over recent years. In 2021, the deck was opened up to address soft spots and rotted core, which was removed and replaced. A crack between the keel and hull was repaired, and the rudder was sent for professional inspection and repair. Below the waterline, the hull was stripped to gel coat, then barrier coat and antifouling were applied. The mast was removed and rigging inspected by Doyle Sails, with furler service completed. The interior has been refreshed with paint work and updated lighting, including LED indirect lighting under shelves and red low-level cabin lighting.
Navigation and comfort systems added in recent years include AIS and VHF DSC radio, solar panels with controller, a diesel heater, an autopilot, and cabin speakers. The engine was serviced in 2025 with a new cooling system installed. Fresh bottom paint and a new furler were added in 2024, and a backup bilge pump was installed alongside the sump pump replacement. Both the hull and deck have been buffed and waxed.
