1979 Dreadnought Monterey

A 1979 Dreadnought Monterey pocket trawler, measuring 21 feet long with an 8-foot beam. The fiberglass hull was hand-laid by Dreadnought Boat Works in Carpinteria, California, and features positive foam flotation throughout. The boat is fitted with a single 8-horsepower Sabb diesel engine, delivering a cruising speed of 5 knots and a maximum speed of 6 knots, making it fuel-efficient for extended exploration. At 3,500 pounds dry weight, the yacht is legally trailerable.

The pilothouse design includes a pedestal helm, with an additional tiller station in the cockpit, offering flexibility in operation. Teak joinery appears throughout the interior and exterior, contributing to the boat's traditional character and durability. Bottom paint was applied in 2025.
