This 1979 Hiptimco 40' trawler is a Hong Kong-built displacement hull vessel constructed from solid fiberglass. The boat was repowered in 2008 with a single Cummins 180 hp diesel engine and is equipped with a Northern Lights 5 kW generator with sound shield. The electrical system was updated with Blue Sea Systems components at Philbrook's Boat Yard in British Columbia. A custom enclosed hardtop flybridge was added in 2016.
The yacht accommodates two cabins and two heads, with a comfortable main salon featuring a corner dinette and diesel heating system. The full keel displacement hull and bronze three-blade propeller deliver fuel efficiency, consuming approximately 2.4 gallons at 7.8 knots cruising speed. The hull design provides a smooth and stable ride, making the boat well-suited to extended cruising in varied conditions.
Recent maintenance completed in 2025 includes bottom painting and full service. The boat has been boathouse kept throughout its ownership history and has established cruising credentials in Alaskan waters.
