A 69-foot steel trawler originally built as a working shrimper and converted for extended cruising. The hull and heavy construction suit long-range exploration, while the single Caterpillar 400-horsepower diesel engine delivers cruising speeds around 7.5 knots with a maximum of 8.5 knots. The boat carries substantial power and water systems: dual lithium battery banks totaling 600 amp-hours at 24 volts, four 300-watt solar panels, 8 and 15 kilowatt generators, and a watermaker for independent operation.
Five staterooms and three heads accommodate family, friends, or charter guests for extended voyages. The main deck features a full galley and large dining area positioned for comfortable entertaining at anchor. Interior systems include air conditioning, heating, washer and dryer, full-size refrigerator and freezer, and multiple battery chargers and inverters supporting 50-amp shore power when available.
Navigation equipment includes a Furuno radar, Raymarine plotter with autopilot and wind instruments, Lowrance depth sounder, and Icom VHF radio. Two tenders—a Hypalon inflatable with a 40-horsepower Honda outboard in good condition and a kayak with stand-up paddle board—provide water access. Recent upgrades address the main engine seals and include replacement of the lithium battery bank and solar array. Ground tackle consists of a 500-pound Navy anchor with 100 feet of one-inch chain and 200 feet of rode, plus a Danforth 80 on a hydraulic windlass with cockpit control.
