1979 Traditional Custom

A 1979 wooden explorer yacht built from double-planked Samos pine, this 68-foot boat combines traditional Greek construction with diesel-powered reliability. Twin MTU engines deliver 800 horsepower, cruising at 9 knots with a maximum speed of 11 knots. The hull was comprehensively reconstructed between 2010 and 2013 and has received consistent maintenance since, including recent shipyard work and shaft service completed this year.

The yacht accommodates up to 134 passengers on shorter passages or 121 on extended cruises, with a working crew of two. Four heads serve the accommodation spaces. The layout includes a fully equipped galley with cooking facilities and refrigeration, interior and exterior sound systems, and a rotating gangway for safe boarding. Walkaround decks provide comfortable movement throughout.

Core systems include a Kohler 9.2 kVa generator and Victron inverter for electrical supply. Navigation equipment comprises Garmin GPS and plotter, VHF radio, and radar. Fuel capacity of 4,000 liters and water tankage of 1,200 liters support extended operations. An electric anchor windlass completes the deck equipment. The boat operates under Greek flag registry and is maintained to professional maritime standards.
