A 1989 Kanter 66, this steel-hulled explorer yacht measures 66 feet by 20 feet and was purpose-built to carry 100 passengers plus 15 crew members. Twin Ford Sabre turbocharged diesel engines, each producing 212 horsepower and rebuilt in 2016, power the boat through PRM hydraulic reversing gears and bronze propellers, cruising at 11 knots. The yacht is classed for Inland Waters Class II operation.
Below deck, a full galley supports large-scale catering with dual industrial warming ovens, a 4-burner stove, microwave, and stainless steel work surfaces. Two heads serve the vessel, and the galley headroom reaches 8 feet. Air conditioning and ventilation systems are installed throughout. A Stamford/Perkins 48kW main generator and 40kW emergency generator provide 240V AC power.
Fuel capacity totals 500 gallons across two tanks; fresh water capacity is 400 gallons, with 500-gallon holding tanks and 80-gallon grey water capacity. Navigation equipment includes dual VHF radios, radar, depth sounder, and compass. Safety systems comprise two Viking life rafts rated for 37 and 75 persons respectively, life rings, vests, fire extinguishers, and an engine room firefighting system. Hydraulic steering and a welded davit complete the operating systems.
The engines were rebuilt in 2016. The yacht has not undergone the required 5-year inspection since that date and will need survey and certification updates to return to service.
