1980 C&C 30 Mk I

The C&C 30 Mk I is a 30-foot fiberglass sloop built to balance racing performance with cruising comfort. Known for its build quality and forgiving sailing characteristics, this boat sleeps six with full headroom throughout. The design pairs a lead keel and spade rudder with a masthead, keel-stepped mast and wheel steering, delivering responsive handling and strong pointing ability in a range of conditions.

The layout centers on a spacious main salon with a large convertible dinette to port that transforms into a 6'6" double berth, and a settee with fold-up pilot berth to starboard. The forward cabin houses two 6'4" berths with storage beneath, backed by a hanging locker and a well-equipped head with 20-gallon holding tank. The galley features an Origo two-burner alcohol stove, ice box with drain pump, microwave, and generous stowage. A manual fresh water system supplies 42 gallons across two tanks.

The rig is comprehensive: North sails include a full-battened mainsail with two reefs (2012), furling working jib, furling storm jib, and 135% furling genoa on a Hood roller-furling unit. A 15 HP Yammer 2QM15 diesel inboard with 15-gallon tank powers the boat; the transmission was rebuilt in 2018 and fuel was polished in 2023. Steering is managed through Barient primary and halyard winches, with halyards led aft to the cockpit for single-handed operation.

Navigation and comfort systems include a Ritchie compass, Signet depth sounder and knot meter, VHF radio, solar panel, and a dual-battery electrical system installed in 2022. The dodger features new windows (2024) with stainless steel side rails. A Dickerson Chesapeake diesel cabin heater is aboard but unused. The boat includes an original builder's file and owner's manual.
