1980 Hatteras 70 Motor Yacht

This 70-foot Hatteras Extended Deckhouse motor yacht features twin Detroit Diesel 12V71TI engines rated at 650 hp each, delivering a cruising speed of 14 knots and a top speed of 18 knots. The fiberglass hull is 18.5 feet in beam and accommodates five staterooms and four heads. The boat has undergone substantial interior refitting, with updated teak paneling, new headliners, and mini-LED lighting throughout. Engine hours stand at 1,400 SMOH, and the two 21.5 kW Onan generators have logged 1,124 and 1,085 hours respectively.

The main salon features an L-shaped sofa, custom teak dining table, and a 42-inch flat-screen television. The full-beam master stateroom includes a centerline queen berth, ensuite head with heated teak and holly flooring, shower and tub, and abundant storage. Two VIP staterooms aft each contain twin berths with drawer storage below, ensuite heads, and showers. Forward crew quarters include a captain's quarters with a large berth and ensuite facilities, plus a starboard crew stateroom with upper and lower bunks.

The galley sits between the pilothouse and main salon, fitted with a five-burner stainless-steel range, double-door refrigerator, dishwasher, and microwave. Counter surfaces are Gibraltar granite, and storage is extensive. An aft deck with teak construction includes a wet bar with refrigeration, casual seating, and access to the swim platform.

The boat is equipped with Garmin electronics including three 7612 GPSmap displays, radar with open array antenna, and GHC20 autopilot. Navigation and communication systems include ICOM VHF radios, KVH satellite television, and engine room cameras. Power systems have been upgraded to 24-volt with isolation transformers, automatic bilge pumps, and Bennett trim tabs. A Quick 10 kW bow thruster and Naiad stabilizer with bridge remote control are installed. The pilothouse and flybridge both feature helm stations with single-lever controls. Recent maintenance includes hull blasting and barrier coating, new through-hull fittings and hoses, and replacement of all heads and plumbing with Tecma marine units.
