1981 Bayfield 32

A 1981 Bayfield 32 designed by Ted Gozzard and built by Bayfield Boat Yards in Ontario. The boat is known for solid fiberglass construction and a traditional, elegant design that handles seaways well. The 32-foot hull with 10.4-foot beam provides a stable platform, and the cockpit is spacious enough for four adults to sit comfortably with good support when heeling.

The interior is finished throughout in teak with new cushions. The galley on the starboard side includes a stove, sink, top-loading icebox, and generous counter space. A fold-down nav station and quarterberth sit opposite. The saloon has two facing settees that function as berths; their seat backs fold up to create wider sleeping surfaces. A teak table with fold-out leaves accommodates the full crew. Forward are a head, locker storage, and a V-berth with a privacy door.

Power comes from a two-cylinder Yanmar 15-horsepower diesel engine in good condition. The yacht achieves a cruising speed of 6.5 knots and a maximum speed of 7.5 knots. These engines are known for durability and reliability. The boat is capable of extended cruising and has proven seaworthy enough for ocean passages.
