1989 Hunter Vision 32

The 1989 Hunter Vision 32 is a 32-foot fiberglass sailing yacht built around an unstayed mast design with a large mainsail that serves as the primary center of effort. Powered by a Yanmar 3GM diesel engine producing 27 horsepower, the boat achieves a maximum hull speed near 7 knots and handles well in local and coastal cruising or amateur racing. The design prioritizes ease of handling with features including a winged fin keel, roller furling genoa, wheel steering, self-tailing winches, and all sail controls led aft to the spacious cockpit.

Below deck, the yacht offers a practical layout for cruising or extended stays, with hot water heating, refrigeration, and dual AC/DC power systems. The cabin accommodates sleeping berths and includes interior speakers alongside a stereo system. A head and galley complete the core living spaces. A CT 16 air conditioning unit and integrated stereo with cockpit speakers support comfort in warmer climates.

Recent service records document substantial maintenance and upgrades from 2023 through 2026. Engine work includes oil, filter, and gearbox changes, coolant replacement, and new engine mounts, throttle body service, and exhaust system components. The raw water system received a new impeller and intake seacock, and a new raw water pump with hoses was installed. Electrical upgrades include a new Paneltronics 12v/110v circuit board and a new bilge pump. A new freshwater pump and holding tank with hoses were added, along with new running rigging. Deck work involved bottom paint in 2023, regular diver cleaning and zinc maintenance every three months, and a new muffler. The jib was replaced in 2023 and used twice; the mainsail is serviceable. A full enclosure featuring a new Bimini and dodger with new Esein glass provides weather protection. A VHF and chart plotter are included, stowed aboard.
