1981 Hatteras 48 Motor Yacht

This 1981 Hatteras 48 Motor Yacht is a fiberglass motor yacht built to enduring standards. Twin Detroit Diesel 6V92TA engines, each producing 335 horsepower, deliver a cruising speed of 18 knots and a maximum speed of 24 knots. The boat measures 48 feet in length with a 15-foot beam. Power is supported by a 2018 Cummins Onan generator.

The enclosed flybridge features a custom fiberglass hardtop, helm station, two captain chairs, and an L-shaped settee. Below deck, the main salon opens to abundant natural light and includes a second helm station, two swivel barrel chairs, an L-shaped settee, and entertainment systems. The galley is U-shaped and well-equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, three-burner electric stove with oven, microwave, toaster oven, and ample storage. A dining area converts into additional sleeping space.

The three-stateroom layout includes a forward double berth with ensuite head and shower, a starboard guest stateroom with two single berths and separate head, and a full-beam master aft with queen berth and ensuite head with shower. Navigation equipment includes a 2021 Garmin 8612 chartplotter with 12-inch display and sonar, Furuno radar, and Viking compass. An air conditioning system with four zones was retrofitted in 2021. The aft deck features a new Isinglass enclosure, wet bar with stainless steel sink and beverage cooler, fiberglass swim platform with ladder access, and walk-through transom. Spare propellers are stored beneath the forward cabin, along with two anchors and rode.

Recent upgrades include a rebuilt icemaker in 2020, new aft Isinglass enclosure in 2020, complete AC system retrofit in 2022, new house batteries in 2022, and additional entertainment upgrades. The boat has been regularly maintained.
