This 41-foot steel schooner was designed by Thomas Colvin and features a full-keel, shallow-draft hull built for strength and stability. Twin masts give the boat classic schooner lines suited to coastal cruising. The hull and structural elements—including bulkheads, stringers, stem, and transom—are in good condition. Steel construction with stainless steel fasteners, bolts, and reinforcement washers throughout ensures durability.
The boat accommodates a forward V-berth and an aft berth, with two heads and two showers. Two long benches run along the midship port side. The pilothouse sits aft with painted aluminum construction and includes eight side windows plus two stern windows. The main cabin has 13 portholes and four windshields for natural light. A three-burner propane galley stove with oven, stainless steel sinks, and an icebox-style refrigerator with freezer support self-sufficient cruising.
Power comes from a SABB 2JHR two-cylinder diesel engine rated at 30 horsepower, paired with a 1.5-inch stainless steel prop shaft and raw water heat exchanger cooling system. Throttle controls are cable-operated from both sides of the pilothouse, with fuel shutoff ball valves and ignition-based emergency shutdown. Engine alarms monitor high water temperature and low oil pressure.
The boat has been dry docked and requires minor work before relaunching: the teak decking needs oiling, a paint job is needed, and one small area on deck requires welding. Structural and cosmetic elements including headliners, doorways, fabrics, and cushions were visually inspected and found in good condition.
