This 1986 Lord Nelson 41 is a cutter-rigged cruising yacht designed by Loren Hart with a full keel, spooned stem, and rounded transom. Built from fiberglass with teak trim and bronze fittings throughout, the boat combines traditional styling with robust ocean-going construction. The hull sits atop a long full keel with keel-mounted rudder, displacement of 13,800 kg, and encapsulated lead ballast for stability and tracking. Power comes from a Yanmar 4JH45E diesel engine with 151 hours of operation.

The interior is finished in solid teak and accommodates five or more berths across a forward V-berth, quarterberth, and settee berths. The saloon features a U-shaped seating arrangement with a fixed teak table, while the galley sits to port with generous counter space and storage. A dedicated navigation station occupies the starboard side, and a spacious head is located forward. Throughout the interior are hanging lockers, cupboards, and shelving for extended cruising or liveaboard use.

On deck, the layout emphasizes practicality and seaworthiness. An aft cockpit with teak lining provides a secure helm station, lazarette storage, and emergency tiller access. The foredeck is wide with a substantial bowsprit and windlass for anchoring and dinghy stowage. Ventilation and light come from two large butterfly hatches, five bronze portlights per side, and four dorade vents. The deck-stepped mast is supported by inboard shrouds, a single backstay, and oversized chainplates.

Recent upgrades include new sails—Yankee, staysail, and mainsail—recently fitted to the cutter rig, which allows versatile sail handling and is well suited to shorthanded cruising.
