1981 Stephens Custom

This 85-foot Stephens Custom motor yacht was built in aluminum with a Jack Hargrave design and has been substantially upgraded. In 2002, the boat underwent an extensive refit that included new Caterpillar 3412E diesel engines delivering 2,880 horsepower, along with new transmissions, controls, shafts, struts, and propellers. The refit also added a 10-foot cockpit extension, new bow and stern thrusters, two new generators, a water maker, and a 3,500-pound davit crane. The boat carries 4,500 gallons of fuel and cruises at 15 knots with a maximum speed of 20 knots.

The interior was fully renovated during the 2002 refit and includes five cabins and five heads. The boat features an enclosed skylounge, an enclosed California deck, and a redesigned cockpit with a built-in BBQ station and two live tanks. These additions and the extended cockpit provide spacious, water-level access throughout the vessel. The teak decks are maintained in excellent condition.

Accommodations suit both owner-operator use and full crew operation, with dedicated crew quarters included in the layout. The boat has been professionally maintained and kept in a boathouse. Systems and equipment throughout reflect the scope of the refit, offering performance and capability consistent with a much newer yacht on an 85-foot platform.
