The Bristol 35.5 is a fiberglass cruising sailboat designed by Ted Hood, built in 1982. Known for its efficient use of interior space and practical layout, this example features a fin keel and skeg-hung rudder. Power comes from a 30 hp Universal diesel engine. The boat is rigged with a fully battened mainsail with lazy jacks and 125% genoa, both from 2015, along with a Harken furler and Anderson self-tailing primary winches. Standing rigging was replaced in 2022.
Below deck, the two-cabin layout includes one head with a new electric Jabsco head installed in 2022 and replaced sanitation hoses. The galley is fitted with a three-burner propane stove and oven, Adler Barbour refrigeration, hot and cold pressure water, and a double stainless sink. A 12-volt electrical system runs two 120-watt solar panels, new batteries installed in 2020, and shorepower capability.
Navigation and autopilot systems are comprehensive, with dual Garmin 943 chartplotters at the helm and nav station, Garmin Phantom HD radar, Garmin wind and depth instrumentation, Garmin VHF and AIS 800 transceiver, Raymarine autopilot, and a Hydrovane mechanical backup installed in 2022. A NEMA 2000 backbone was added in 2021. Deck hardware includes a Rockna 15 anchor with quarter-inch chain and nine-sixteenths-inch rode, new dodger and bimini from 2022, and a Fairclough winter cover.
