The C&C 35 MK III is a racer-cruiser from 1983, built with a fiberglass hull and designed to compete seriously while remaining comfortable for extended cruising. The deck layout prioritizes efficiency, with aft-mounted winches and rope clutches that enable short-handed sailing from the cockpit. Rod rigging with a hydraulic adjustable backstay and a Hood roller furling system support a comprehensive sail inventory covering both racing and cruising configurations. A Harken mainsheet traveler on the cabin top keeps the cockpit uncluttered, while four coach roof winches and oversized self-tailing primary winches handle most tasks easily.
Below deck, the interior flows from a forward V-berth with overhead hatch through a head outfitted with marine toilet, sink, shower, and a holding tank with Y-valve. A hanging locker sits opposite. The main cabin contains a U-shaped convertible dinette to port and a straight settee to starboard, both with ample storage beneath and in overhead lockers. A quarter berth lies aft, with the nav station and galley opposite.
The galley is laid out in a U with a stainless steel double sink featuring hot and cold pressure water and foot pump, a three-burner propane Hilerange with oven, and an insulated icebox with refrigeration. Two updated propane cylinders sit in vented cockpit lockers. Electronics include Datamarine instruments for speed, depth, wind, and direction; a Standard Horizon Intrepid LE VHF radio; an Autohelm 3000 autopilot; and dual compasses. Shore power arrives via 30-amp line and charges three marine batteries monitored at the nav station.
The boat carries full racing and cruising sail inventories including Haarstick mains and jibs from various years, spinnakers in two weights, and canvas dodger and cover. A Martec folding propeller was rebuilt in 2007, and the hydraulic backstay was rebuilt in 2008. Safety gear, dock lines, fenders, cockpit table, screens, lee cloths, and a steel cradle are included. A freshwater boat, she is in sail-away condition with documentation and engine manuals on hand.
