1982 Monk 36

This 1982 Monk 36 is a classic fiberglass trawler with traditional lines and proven construction. Powered by a single Ford Lehman diesel engine producing 120 horsepower with only 1,300 hours, it cruises comfortably at 9 knots and reaches 11 knots at full speed. The boat carries 320 gallons of fuel and 120 gallons of freshwater. A bow thruster is installed for enhanced maneuvering.

The layout comprises two staterooms and two heads. Forward is a V-berth with an attached wet head. The aft stateroom spans the full beam, features a double bed, and offers an attached head with a full shower plus direct access to the aft deck. The galley is well equipped with a substantial refrigerator-freezer, three-burner stove with oven, and large sink positioned to take advantage of water views. The salon provides comfortable seating for four or more, with a drop-leaf dining table and booth seating.

The fully enclosed flybridge features a Strataglass windscreen and isinglass and canvas panels. It is outfitted with VHF radio, autopilot, chart plotter, and GPS, plus seating for six. The main deck has solid footing with good non-skid properties, clear of cracks, and fitted with substantial cleats and handrails throughout. A heavy windlass with foot controls is mounted forward.

The boat shows solid condition. Deck surfaces remain in good order, and the flybridge canvas and isinglass coverings have many serviceable years remaining. The lazarette provides extensive storage and allows straightforward access to the steering gear and other systems. Additional tankage space is available if needed.
