This 1983 Hunter 27 tall-rig sailboat is built on a fiberglass hull and powered by a Beta 14 diesel engine producing 13.5 horsepower, with only 319 hours on the engine and transmission. The boat has undergone substantial upgrades and maintenance over recent years, including a complete electrical system overhaul with new wiring throughout the deck and cabin, along with LED lighting installed from the mast spreaders to below. The mast was stripped, painted, and rewired during this work.
Navigation and engine monitoring are handled by a Raymarine electronic suite comprising an i50 depth and knot instrument, i60 wind instrument, EV100 P70 autohelm, Windex, and Ray-60 VHF radio. The electrical systems feature Blue Sea AC and DC breaker panels with a 70-amp alternator. Propulsion improvements include a stainless steel prop shaft and cutlass bearing paired with a General 12-by-8-inch three-blade right-hand propeller, all installed in 2021.
The running rigging was replaced in 2014 and remains in good condition. North Sails main and 150 percent genoa date from 2013 and are also well-maintained. Additional recent work includes a new marine head and plumbing system from 2015, replacement of all marine port lights, and custom canvas covers—a Bimini, dodger, and winter cover—added in 2019 and 2020. A Fusion audio system rounds out the onboard amenities. The boat comes with an owned cradle.
