This 1983 47-foot pilothouse sloop was designed as an express motorsailer, blending the protected pilothouse layout of a cruising yacht with sailing capability. Her most distinctive feature is a variable-draft daggerboard system, electrically operated, that can be raised to minimize draft for shallow-water exploration or lowered for sailing performance. A bow thruster adds maneuverability. Power comes from an Isuzu DA102T 6-cylinder diesel engine producing 150 horsepower, with the boat reportedly capable of cruising to 12 knots with the board raised.
The pilothouse serves as the main living space, with a dinette to port and galley to starboard. The galley includes a stainless-steel sink, LP gas range with oven, gas monitor, and controller. The pilot station is equipped with a Navico autopilot with remote, Magellan 1200 satellite navigation, Apelco color fish finder and depth sounder, Standard VHF radio, and Raytheon radar. Fresh water capacity is approximately 400 gallons and fuel capacity is 90 gallons.
Below, the boat includes an enclosed head with shower and two sleeping areas: a companionway berth and a forward V-berth. The fiberglass hull and spacious layout make this yacht suitable for extended cruising or liveaboard use. She would benefit from some updates and refurbishment but retains a solid platform and the practical design choices that support comfortable cruising in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
